    Rose Miller, CHPA, CPP is the current vice chair of the ASIS International Greater Charlotte Chapter 65.  She is the owner and principal consultant of Sustained Security Solutions, LLC in Cornelius, NC.  She has been consulting in the healthcare market for the last five years.  Prior to her move to North Carolina, Rose served as the Director of Protective Services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., an Adult Level 1 Trauma Center. Rose has over thirty years of experience in security and law enforcement and is a retired Army Military Police officer.  Her numerous assignments during her 27 year career include duty in the United States, Germany, South Korea and Afghanistan.  She is designated as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International and a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) by IAHSS International.   She also serves as a Co-Chair of the ASIS International Military Liaison Community.

    Dr. Jeffrey Galvin, MD

    Dr. Jeffrey Galvin, MD is the medical director and founder of Vitality Medical Wellness Institute.  He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Obesity Medicine.  He served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in Trauma and Emergency Care.  After completing his military service, he settled in Concord, NC.  With over 25 years’ experience working in some of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country, he has cared for over 50,000 emergency and trauma patients. 

    Jeff Oliver, CHPA

    Jeff Oliver is the Corporate Security Director and Chief of Company Police for Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.  Atrium Health is the second largest not for profit healthcare system in the United States with over 40 hospitals and over 900 care locations.  Jeff has more than 25 years of experience as a law enforcement officer in North Carolina, with 15 years of those being in the Healthcare setting. He is a certified NC Law Enforcement instructor, earned a Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree from Western Carolina University, holds an advanced law enforcement certification from the North Carolina Department of Justice, and is a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator. Jeff is actively involved with IAHSS and is past Chair of the NC Chapter. 

    Lisa Terry, CHPA, CPP

    Lisa Terry, CHPA, CPP has significant experience in healthcare security and police management. Lisa currently serves as the Vice President, Vertical Markets – Healthcare for Allied Universal Security. Prior to that she served as Director of Hospital Police and Transportation at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Lisa has served as the Chief of Campus Police and Public Safety with WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Chief of Police and Public Safety with Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

    As a current ASIS International Senior Regional Vice President and Healthcare Council/Community Vice Chair, Lisa has been fortunate to collaborate with some of the country’s greatest minds in healthcare, security, and policing. She shares her knowledge, strategies, and lessons learned for successfully preventing and mitigating violence in her books: “Preventing Violence in the Emergency Department” and “The Active Shooter Response Toolkit for Healthcare Workers.”
